NSW: Yacht hull found off New South Wales north coast
The hull of a yacht -- believed to be that of a charter vessel that capsized at the
weekend, killing one person -- has been found off the New South Wales north coast.
Police say the hull, that could be that of the Rising Farrster, was located by a fishing
boat about noon today.
It was upside down and drifting eight nautical miles east of Scotts Head, south of
Nambucca Heads.
The hull is now tied to the fishing boat and a police helicopter and police launch
from Coffs Harbour are travelling to the scene.
Police divers are on board.
The Rising Farrster, crewed by six Britons, lost its keel early Sunday and overturned
south of Ballina.
One woman was killed and another is missing, presumed drowned, with the remaining four
crew members swimming 16 hours to shore clinging to debris.
It's believed 18-year-old CHARLOTTE LENAS' body could be trapped in the yacht's hull.
